Michael's passion and expertise lies in helping organisations and industries make the most of today's possibilities to transcend the obsolescence of current practices and create exciting future worlds.
He is the Professor and Head of the Information Systems School, Science and Engineering Faculty at Queensland University of Technology. His research interests are business process management and design, innovation systems, research management, data markets and the affordances of disruptive technologies. His research projects have been conducted with industry partners such as Accenture, Australia Post, Bank of Queensland, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Brisbane Marketing, Ergon Energy, Infosys, Rio Tinto, Queensland Government, SAP, Suncorp, Water Corporation and Woolworths.
He is the author/editor of seven books, more than 200 refereed papers, Editorial Board member of ten international journals and co-inventor of two US patents.
Michael regularly conducts global keynote presentations for academic and commercial events.
